Power Outages

Metropolis areas with large populations of people are at greatest risk for large scale power outages. Commercial usage of power is remarkable stable for most grids in the US. It is the unpredictable usage from the people in given area that causes the need to intentially brown out power. A heat wave where several million people all turn on the air-conditioning at the same time will overwhelm the grid.
