Ice Storms

Heavy accumulations of ice can bring down trees and topple utility poles and communications towers. Ice can disrupt communications and power for days while utility companies repair extensive damage. A data center is only as good as its weakest link. A hardened data center that can't connect the internal equipment to the outside world because of damaged fiber infrastructure is a failed data center.
